_SANDS GALLERY

Experimental gallery layout for Sands Gallery featuring artworks of Nami Okada, Kunihiko Nohara & Ryosuke Kawahiro as collaboration between galleryUG and Sands Gallery. The exhibition took place between February & April, 2023 at the most prestigious gallery - Sands Gallery - at the heart of Macao’s biggest hotel complex under Sands China Macao. The design behind these series of illustrations captured a unique collaboration between me and the exhibiting artists; there was a lot of experimental thinking about exceeding the traditional minimalistic gallery display. As a series of imagined designs as a formal collaboration with the artists, I imagined a futuristic gallery space that goes against the original plan of white walls. The design entails projection spaces, atmospheric lighting and thematic sounds to cohere with the artists’ works.
